What is Orca.dev?
Orca.dev is a powerful, open-source Agent Development Environment (ADE) designed to supercharge your workflow with coding agents. Unlike traditional IDEs built solely for human developers, Orca is purpose-built for you and your AI agents, enabling parallel execution of multiple CLI agents in isolated worktrees. Run Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini, Cursor CLI, and any other agent CLI side by side without interference. Each task operates in its own isolated git worktree, eliminating the need for stashing or branch juggling. Fan a single prompt across up to five agents, compare results, and merge the best output seamlessly.
Key features include Ghostty-inspired terminals, a built-in file editor with VS Code’s editing capabilities, autosave, quick-open with hidden files, and drag-drop support for files or images into agent prompts. Full git tracking keeps every branch moving, and you can inspect CI results directly. The app also includes a real Chromium window per worktree, allowing you to click any UI element to send its HTML, CSS, and a cropped screenshot to your agent. Browse PRs, issues, and Project boards in-app, open worktrees from tasks, review and approve PRs, and create Linear issues with team selectors—all without context switching.
Orca offers a mobile companion for iOS and Android, letting you watch live agent status, check usage, switch accounts, and keep terminal work moving while away from your desk. It supports remote execution on beefy machines with auto-reconnect, port forwarding, and passphrase caching. WebGL rendering, infinite splits, scrollback restoration on restart, and full scrollback search enhance the terminal experience. Preconfigured agents include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, Gemini, Copilot, OpenCode, and Pi, with easy integration for any other CLI agent.
