Stakpak is an open-source autonomous agent that runs on your infrastructure 24/7, automating production operations so you can focus on building. It combines the convenience of a PaaS with the control of self-hosting, eliminating vendor lock-in. The agent lives as a system service, persisting across reboots, and provides an interactive TUI for full terminal control. It monitors your applications, detects issues like health check failures, idle database connections, or TLS certificate expirations, and resolves them automatically—often before you wake up. Over 210 secret types are detected and replaced with placeholders before any LLM sees them, with real values restored only at execution time. This ensures your API keys and database passwords never leave your environment. All actions, file edits, and commands are logged with full context, and changes are backed up locally and over SSH before modification. You can replay any session, trace any change, and roll back instantly. Written in Rust and licensed under Apache 2.0, Stakpak runs entirely on your machines with mTLS encryption.
