With a simple three-step workflow—select text, open the extension, and click a prompt—you get instant results without leaving your current page. This seamless integration saves time and streamlines your workflow, whether you're a student researching, a professional drafting emails, or a writer polishing prose. The extension supports a wide range of use cases: improve writing clarity, rewrite sentences for different tones, extract key points from documents, generate social media posts, or even create study aids from notes.
Technically, Prompt Selected is lightweight and secure. It requires you to bring your own OpenAI API key, ensuring that your data is handled directly between your browser and OpenAI without third-party storage. The extension uses the ChatGPT API to process your prompts, offering flexibility to customize prompts for specific tasks. You can create and save your own prompt templates, making repetitive tasks a single click away. The interface is minimal and non-intrusive, appearing as a popup when activated.

Whether you're a casual user or a power user, Prompt Selected adapts to your needs. Best of all, it's completely free—you only pay for the API usage based on your OpenAI plan.
