What is StableCode?
StableCode is Stability AI's first large language model (LLM) designed specifically for coding, offering a powerful suite of tools to enhance developer productivity and serve as an educational resource for beginners. The product features three distinct models: a base model, an instruction-tuned model, and a long-context window model. The base model is trained on 560 billion tokens from the Stack-dataset v1.2, covering diverse programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, C, Markdown, and C++. This extensive training ensures robust code understanding and generation capabilities. The instruction model is fine-tuned on approximately 120,000 code instruction/response pairs in Alpaca format, enabling it to handle complex programming tasks by following user instructions precisely.
