What is WasteAID?
WasteAID by Ecorithms is an AI-powered waste auditing software designed to streamline compliance, reduce costs, and increase revenue for waste haulers and municipalities. The platform leverages advanced AI object detection to automatically identify contaminants across all waste streams (recycling, organics, landfill) from images captured during collection. This enables 24/7 tracking of contamination levels, generation of detailed PDF/CSV reports, and precise location-based data for targeted education and enforcement.
Key features include automated detection in all streams with image capture and address generation, account and service tracking with repeat contaminator identification, and auto-targeted notice generation for non-compliant accounts. The system also offers impact tracking, route monitoring, and organized audit archives with document upload options. WasteAID is particularly valuable for compliance with California's SB 1383, which mandates organics recycling and contamination reduction. It helps haulers meet regulatory requirements by providing verifiable audit data and enabling proactive outreach to customers.
For independent haulers, WasteAID offers a scalable solution that can be customized to specific needs. The software integrates seamlessly into existing workflows, reducing manual audit time by up to 90% and improving accuracy. Use cases include route optimization, customer education programs, and revenue recovery through contamination fees. Technical details include cloud-based infrastructure, real-time data syncing, and compatibility with standard waste truck cameras. WasteAID transforms waste auditing from a reactive, labor-intensive process into a proactive, data-driven strategy that drives operational efficiency and sustainability.
