Queryable - Photo Search App

What is Queryable - Photo Search App?

Queryable is an innovative, open-source photo album search tool that revolutionizes how you find and organize your photos. Unlike traditional apps that rely on simple tags, Queryable understands natural language descriptions, allowing you to search for moments like "two people by the sea" or "a girl in red on the lawn." It even captures emotional queries such as "We fell in love." This AI-powered search works entirely offline, ensuring your photo library remains private and secure. After a one-time indexing process—which processes about 2,000 photos per minute on an iPhone 12 mini—you can search instantly. New in this version: search in your own language. Non-English queries are translated on your device before searching, so your photos and words never leave your phone. The app interface is localized in English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian. Additional features include searching by photo, filtering results by time, batch-selecting and sharing, cleaning up duplicates more precisely, and viewing Live Photos and videos reliably. Queryable has reached #1 on Hacker News and topped paid tools charts across Europe, ranking #2 in the US. It is a one-time purchase of $4.99, with no subscriptions. Use cases include quickly finding specific photos from large libraries, organizing memories, and sharing with friends. Technical details: built on open-source AI models, it performs on-device translation and indexing, requiring no internet connection. Indexing is required only once, with updates for new photos.
